Christmas Fete Makes - with Bee Crafty Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

During the last week I was busy getting ready for Our School's Christmas Fete and I had a lot of fun getting inky with some of my Bee Crafty Yuletide Stamps and Distress Inks

I am sharing with you a sample of the cards that I made for the Fete...

For all the cards above I used some of the Gorgeous SnowFlake Stamps from the Yuletide Collection sets 'Snowflakes - Feathery', 'Snowflakes - Spikey' and 'Snowflakes'. For blue tone cards I used 'Stormy Sky', 'Broken China', 'Faded Jeans' & 'Tumbled Glass' distress inks. For the purple tone cards I used 'Seedless Preserves', 'Milled Lavendar' & 'Dusty Concord' distress inks

These cards were simple and quick to make but I really love how they turned out.

For all the cards I used the 6inch Circle Inkables Template (the inner part) which I used lowtack tape underneath to prevent slipping while inking onto smooth cardstock. I inked up the stamps and stamped randomly over the card and off of the circle template to fill up the background. Once dry I then inked the edges of the card and off the edge of the circle template to soften the backgrounds. I stamped the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from the Yuletide Wordage collection using black archival ink into the centre of each card. I finished them using colour matching flat back gems.

The Fete went really well... I made back the stall charge and a little profit on top which for my first Fete in a long time wasn't too bad at all.

Thank You so much for visiting today to see my examples. Please visit the Bee Crafty Blog soon to see more gorgeous work from the Bee Crafty Design Team

Happy Halloween - Spooklicious Tag - for Bee Crafty Stamps

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I love Halloween so much and will be spending the evening with my two youngest children and my Hubby making Jack-o-Lantern's and watching Hocus Pocus!!

I hope you all enjoy your Halloween - Stay Safe!

Today I am sharing with you a Halloween Tag I have made using some of the Gorgeous 'All Hallows' stamps and the 'Spellbound Abi' stamp which I love

I stamped the 'All Hallows -Spiderweb' stamp over the large tag using light grey ink and then inked the edges using 'Spiced Marmalade' distress ink and then 'Black Soot' distress ink just at the edge.

I cut a piece of black pearlescent cardstock to a few mm smaller than the tag, rounded the corners with a puch and glued to the front of the tag. I found an offcut of Halloween craft paper in my box and trimmed this to fit the side of the black card.

I stamped the 'All Hallows - Spooky Scene' onto white card using black ink, I fussy cut the tombstones and bats then inked over using 'Peeled Paint' distress ink. I attached the scene across the bottom of the tag using a hotglue gun and saved the bats for later.

I stamped 'Spellbound Abi' onto white card and coloured her using my pencils in colours to match the tag so far. I then stamped the edges using the 'All Hallows - Spiderweb' using black ink, I then lightly inked the edges using spiced marmalade, peeled paint and black soot distress inks. I matted the image onto black cardstock and fixed to the tag using foam tape. I then attached the bats from earlier using my hotglue gun.

To finish I added the sentiment using the 'Spookylicious' word from the 'Spellbound Abbie' stamp set

I hope you like my post today, I really enjoyed making the Tag it was a lot of fun

FASHIONette Beryl and Snowflake Flurry's 'Baby It's Cold Outside' - for Bee Crafty Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

This week I am sharing with you an 8x8inch Card that could be used as a Christmas or Winter Birthday card, I was inspired to use pale shades of ink for the background and bolder for the main image.

I love to use uncommon colours for my winter makes just to be a little different... blues with browns is one of my favourite combinations

For the background I used the 'Background Text' stamp from the 'Snow Words' stamp set which I stamped using 'Wheat' Versamagic Ink, I then stamped some 'Snowflakes' from the 'Snow Flake Flurry' stamp set using 'Aspen Mist' Versamagic Ink. I love the subtle look these pale inks give.

I stamped the gorgeous 'Beryl' from the 'FASHIONettes' collection using 'London Fog' Memento Ink and then coloured her using a mixture of my coloured pencils, I chose similar but bolder colours from the background to make her stand out. I drew over her eyes and eyelashes using an archival liner pen to make them pop

For the senitment I stamped 'Baby It's Cold Outside' from the 'Snow Words' stamp set, first using Aspen Mist and then I stamped again using 'Rich Cocoa' Memento Ink offset from the first to create a shadow effect.

I created the Flourishes using some diecuts and some snowflakes that i stamped onto pearlescent card using the Aspen Mist and Wheat inks from before. I cut the snowflakes out and layered them over the diecuts, adding gems for some bling.

I really love how this card has turned out, I may just have to make a few more for the festive season

New MDF Substrates - 'Bottle Of' - from PaperBabe

Hiya and Welcome to my Design Team Post for PaperBabe Stamps

We are Introducing the New Products in the PaperBabe Etsy Shop and Today I am sharing a Project I have made using the New MDF Substrates that match the 'Bottle Of' Stamp Set

I created a Mixed Media Portrait that will be part of our Halloween decor this year as I love how it turned out. I took a long time to put together but I loved every minute

I used an A4 Canvas Board which I covered using jointing tape (from Hubby's Shed) I then used polyfiller to smooth over the board this gave the whole board more strength. Next I smoothed more polyfiller through a brick stencil over 3/4 of the board and through a burlap stencil over the last 1/4. Once dry I painted these areas the bricks using magnolia and mushroom chalky paints and the burlap using magnolia and vintage blush chalky inks. I wanted to create brick wall and wallpaper effects.

I asked Hubby to cut a piece of routed wood for me to form a shelf (I love that my Hubby is so talented with wood) I painted the wood piece using white gesso, once dry I painted over the gesso with light brown watercolour which gave a nice wood grain effect. I fixed the wooden shelf to the board using my hot glue gun.

The bottles I painted all the pieces first using white gesso, then added colours using watercolour paints. I stamped the labels using Archival Ink in Black. I painted sold gold paint over the mermaid tears bottle which I had also stamped and painted bubbles on using the dot outline stamp from the Birthday Wishes stamp set. I dusted faint glitter onto the dragon dust bottle and used glitter glue over the fairy dust bottle. I glued all the pieces of the bottles together then attached to my project just like they are sitting on the shelf I made.

Next I created a Mini Portait of The Witch I imagined would be the owner of the Bottles. I stamped the 'Mayleedee Witchily' stamp onto white cardstock and coloured her using my coloured pencils, the background is watercolour pencils and water. I created a frame by first gluing the mini portrait to a piece of gold cardstock, then by die-cutting a piece of white craft foam using an ornate frame die and a square die. I then painted the foam using gold acrylic paint which once dry I glued over the mini portrait. I then attached the mini portrait in frame to the brick wall on my project.

I painted over the whole project using 2 layers of Mod-Podge to seal

I have really enjoyed making this project it was a lot of fun. I have really started to enjoy making Mixed Media projects and I know I will be making more of them in future

Introducing - 'Bottle of' Stamp Set - from Paperbabe

Hiya and Welcome to my Blog

We have an Amazing New Stamp Set from Paperbabe Stamps Esty Shop to show you today 'Bottle of' and also some gorgeous Mixed Media stencils to match

I have had a lot of fun playing with this lovely set this week

below are a few ideas for how to put the bottles together

I have been thinking up all kinds of magical and dragon potion ideas, I should have written them down lol

Here is my Project for today using the gorgeous stamps - I was humming 'Love Potion Number 9' the song from the film which is what inspired my make which I am going to frame for my Kraft Korner
I used a Grey Board Plaque that I painted using white gesso, I then placed a piece of music score on top and painted white gesso over that to create a nice background for my watercolours. I stamped the bottle and stoppers repeating 9 times using masking paper to make them look like they are behind each other, I then watercoloured them like they are filled with magically potions. I stamped the swirling smokecoming out of one of the bottles which I handpainted over using watercolours. I stamped the label and the Love word onto the bottle fronts using the mask again.
I handpainted the words 'Love Potion Number 9' and the numbers on the bottles.
I then stamped one of the speckle stamps from the Spritz&Speckle stamp sets around the smoke, I also stamped bubbles using the dot outline stamp from the 'Birthday Wishes' stamp set.
I inked though the New 'Crackle' mixed media stencil using black soot distress ink.
I inked the edges using more of the black soot and painted shadows under the bottles to finish.

Please do check out the post over on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog and join the facebook group to keep up to date with all things Paperbabe xx

I will be back tomorrow with another project using the stamps with the new MDF Substrates that match perfectly

MDF Tag - Yuletide Snowflakes - for Bee Crafty

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Yes!!!! more Christmas Makes! - I adore Christmas and all the sparkle and fun so I always make a start on Christmas makes during the Summer Holidays and then continute all through Autumn and right up until the Big Day!! love love love

Over the Weekend 'Our Bev' was over at Alexandra Palace for the Stamping & Scrapbooking Show with her massive stand full of Bee Crafty Goodies loads of Stamps and Yumminess including... Brand New MDF loads of it which was a Big Hit and sold out!!!!

I so wish I could have gone this year but unfortunately my Hubby was working (darn!! I cant drive so I lucked out)

This Week I have created a Christmassy Tag using one of the Lush MDF Tags! Love!!!!

I had a lot of fun creating this tag with loads of Bee Crafty Lushness!!

The products I used that you can get from the lovely Bee Crafty online shop are...

Bee Crafty - Yuletide Snowflakes - Stamp Set
Bee Crafty - Dots - Inkables Template
Bee Crafty - Inspired by DaVinci Script - Stamp
Colourcraft - Brusho's - sea green, ost blue, ultramarine & turquoise

I also used White Gesso, and Embossing Powders (opaque white, sparkling snow & chunky silver) from my own crafty stash

First I painted over the whole tag using white gesso, once dry I then sprayed the front using a water spritzer and then tapped the Brusho's over the whole tag removing the excess water with kitchen roll. I then dabbed white gesso through the Inkables Template using a dry stencil brush over one corner. I random stamped the Script Stamp using white ink over the opposite corner. Once dry I then stamped the 2 Snowflakes repeatedly over around the edges of the tag using a clear embossing ink, then used the 3 different embossing powders alternately and heating with my Heat Tool

(I have pierced holes in the tops of my Brusho's so i can use them like salt shakers)

I love how the Sparkling Snow embossing Powder looks on the snowflakes

I ran the clear embossing ink over the tag edges and dipped into the chunky silver embossing powder, which once heated made the edges look like metal

I really love how this tag has turned out - I also love how the colours worked - I am a bit obsessed with blue toned christmas makes this year

Here is my Project for the 'Wings' Challenge

I used the Gorgeous 'Dillon Magic' red rubber stamp set
to show that 'Wings' doesn't have to be Girly x x

I stamped Dillon using light grey ink and then coloured him using coloured pencils. I trimmed the coloured image down and removed the left side just for a bit of a change. I stamped one of the 'Spritz & Speckle' clear stamps around the edge and the stamped the Senitment from the 'Dillon Magic' set using black ink. I used lots of layers of cardstock and a cute spooky coffin shape (I pinched this from some doll packaging from one of my Daughters Birthday Pressies)

I added some sparkle to his Wings using a sakura stardust pen and then finished the card with some sparkly flat back gems
We hope you feel inspired and join in our Challenge,
