Full Of The Joys Of Spring xx

Happy Friday!

Today is the day we share some Midway Inspiration for the Current Challenge over at the Polkadoodles Blog where the Theme is 'Spring Is In The Air' don't forget to visit the Challenge to see the Inspiration from the Design Team

I've really enjoyed creating for this challenge as I love springtime my favourite spring colour is Yellow because of all those beautiful Daffodils and my favourite springtime flowers are Daisies so I decided to use these in my DT project

I decided to make a Drawer Box Card (easel on the top) using a tutorial from a CDrom that I got with my Scoring Board. I like these because you can fill the 4 little drawers with sweets or little gifts so it makes this a present as well as a greeting card.

Ive used Papers, Embellishments and Digi all from the 'Sundae of Seasons' CDrom from Polkadoodles

I have used Centura Pearl cardstock, Coredinations cardstock and Brown Mirror Board from my stash.

I have become quite addicted to Dutch Doobadoo products available from Polkadoodles and I have used the 'Honeycomb' Mask in the background of this card and Inked through using 'Wild Honey' distress ink.

I Have coloured the Digi Image using Copic Markers and promarkers in colours to match all the papers and embellishments.

Remember to join the Polkadoodles Facebook Group Polka Doodle Dandies and like the Polkadoodles Facebook Page to keep up to date and join in the fun x

Where I was Last Week xx

I just wanted to show a few photos to show where I was last week and why there was a gap in my posting's of a whole week (not like me at all lately) xx

It was one of my Best Friend's Daughters Birthday's and I was the Baker for her Birthday Cake and then I attended her Birthday Party too with my youngest two children reBecca 5 and Ethan 7 xx

The cake was a big surprise to Lily-Rae the Birthday Girl as her Mummy Becky had told her that she had just a princess Tray Bake for her cake this year as bless her heart she believed it, the Birthday cake I made was for her Birthday Tea with her Family x

But in actual fact I was creating her Fave Princess out of chocolate spongecake and icing xx

Here is my version of a Disney Rapunzel Birthday Cake xx

I really do enjoy baking every now and again it is a hobby of mine alongside my cardmaking but I can do this very often anymore due to arthritis so I only bake for close friends and family now xx

Here are my cheeky kiddies after being face painted at the Birthday Party where the tray bake was actually cute and given out in the party bags xx

They both had a lot of fun and so did the other Children

Mad Hatter's Tea Party x

Today I have finished making a card using a Digi I coloured up last night

There is a new Facebook Group for Ditzie Images where you can share your makes and meet other Ditzie Images Fans join in the fun HERE! xx

She is a new Image from Ditzie Designs Etsy Shop, her name is The Mad Hatter

The first thing I did when planning this card was to chose the Backing Paper and then I coloured the Image using Copic Markers in colours picked from the paper x

Ive used Chocolate Brown and Lavender Mirror Board for the Matt & Layering.

Ive become quite addicted to using this Crepe Paper streamer roll that I found in The Range for only 79p I think it adds a bit of texture and interest to the card. I pleated the streamer and attached to the card using Cosmic Shimmer acrylic glue and wrapped a length of organza ribbon over the front. I then tied a bow in another length of organza ribbon which I attached to the ribbon using Pinflair glue gel.

The Oval Die is from Spellbinders I have diecut this from Centura Pearl cardstock and inked through the die using 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink from Tim Holtz. The Digi I have then fussy cut and fixed on top of the Diecut using Pinflair.

I then chose the teapot & cups dies from Joycrafts and cut these from scraps to colour match again with colours in the backing paper. the cups I have inked using Archival Inks from Whispers 'Whisper Pink' & 'Whisper Blue'. I inked the teapot using the whisper pink inkpad again and stamped the sentiment using Memento Ink. The sentiment is from Papermania 'Cupcake Boutique' range, I then attached the teapot to the card using pinflair I tucked it behind the die cut oval.

Ive then chosen some paper and fabric flowers to layer up as embellishments. I finished the card with a few pearls from my stash.

I really hope you will like my card as much as I like making it

Music Score from a vintage piano score book, inked using Distress Inks 'Stormy Sky' & 'Black Soot'. Matt&Layering using Creata Mirror Board 'Dark Blue' & 'Silver White' the silver white ive sanded using a nail file to reveal the silver underneath the white top layer for a distressed look.
