I have used my 'Tala Catching Dreams set' & 'Silverheels Brave set' along with my 'Tree Trio' and 'Tall Grass' sets

I Stamped and Masked the Characters and Campfire then made masks to cover them using Eclipse Tape. I then Made the Background using the trees and grass using Tim Hotlz Distress Inks in Bundled Sage, Crushed Olive, Pine Needles, then sponged the gaps with Old Paper Distress Ink.

Once I removed the Masks I then coloured the Characters and Campfire using Copics and Promarkers.

Happy Sunday to all and I am loving that its nearly Halloween I cannot wait to decorate the house and carve pumkins with my children we all love Halloween as much as Christmas so of course i was very very Pleased to see this Digi Stamp when she was released in The Stamping Chef STORE

I also think she will be perfect for Halloween cards and Decorations and even jazzing up those treat bags xx

Here is the Project I made

I decided to make a Tag and i wanted to create a messy/grungey effect so using a few background stamps from Visible Image this is what I came up with,

Recipe

Digi Coloured with Promarkers (cut around close to outline)
Handcut Tag from a piece of Packaging Cardboard
Dark Brown Mirror Board (mat & layering)
Grunge Polka Dot Background Stamp
Weave Background Stamp
Crackled Background Stamp
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Peeled Paint Distress Ink
Broken Glass Distress Ink
Tarnished Gold Embossing Powder
Claret Embossing Powder
Verdigris Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Bakers Twine
Parcel Twine
Rough Hessian

I inked the tag first with all the Distress Inks and then Stamped the Background stamps with each colour ink roughly with out a black just wrapped around my fingers so only parts of the stamps printed.

Then randomly sprinkled on Embossing Powders so that the colours all mixed together slightly and heated with Heat Gun.

The Hessian I added fro texture but ripped it up a bit and pulled some threads out for a rough effect.

I added a brass eyelet to to tag using my Cropodile and threaded through some short lengths of Twine.

I cut the Digi out very close to her outline and then attached her to the Tag using Pinflair Glue Gel.

I hope you like my Project please visit The Stamping Chef BLOG to see the Projects by the Amazing Design Team we all had a lot of Fun with this Image and we hop you will too x

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you visit again soon

Besties Challenge - Paper Piecing

Today has been a very cold and grey day here and its taken me a while to feel up to doing much at all but I'm here to share a project with you made for the New Challenge over at the UK Besties Challenge BLOG - dont forget to visit the blog to see all the details for entering the Challenge xx

The Challenge theme is Paper Piecing this is a technique where you print a digi or stamp an image onto various papers and then careful cut out parts to glue onto a Copy of the Image but doing this you can create fabric and patterned panels easily i.e: a dress or pretty top etc x

Here is my project I created using the Carley Duff DT Besties Images (which Gill has merged into one digi for us)

I have used some papers printed from Docrafts Digital Designer 'Papermania Capsule' collection all in the colourway Heather - i printed the digi 5 times once on each sheet of patterned paper and once onto Rymans cardstock - I then cut out various clothing items from the patterned print outs to make up the outfits of the 4 Images and even Carleys Bandana. the colouring was using Copic Markers.

I chose my Favourite of the patterend papers as the backing paper and mat & layers are with Kraft Card and purple Mirror Board both from Creata.

I die cut 4 corners using Mirror Board and Die by Joycrafts available from Creata.

I finished the card with paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you like my card and i hope you visit again soon

My First Guest Designer Post for 'My Time To Craft' Challenge Blog

Good Morning all such a grey day out but that is good for me as means more time to Craft xx

Today i would like to share with you a project I made for my first Guest Designer Spot over at the
My Time To Craft CHALLENGE BLOG where my friend Shell invited me such a lovely Blog Challenge purely for fun and a great confidence boost if you are picked for the TOP3 xxx

The Challenge Theme this time is 'Shabby Chic' which i have had a lot of fun with

Here is my Project

Recipe

Digi from The Stamping Chef printed on Rymans bright white cardstock and coloured with Copics
A4 White Linen Cardstock - scroed and folded to make A5 cardbase
Papermania 'Rose Garden' 8x8 paper pad
Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Antique Linen'
Creata Mirror Board 'Dusky Pink'
Creata Crochet Lace Ribbon
Papermania 'Lucy Cromwell' Sentiments pack
Flat Back Pearls from 'Home Bargains'
Big Button from my stash x

I trimmed the Stripey Paper to a few mm smaller than the cardbase and distressed the edges using a small pair of scissors and fixed this to card front using Collal All purpose glue.

The floral paper I cut to 12.5x1.5cm and inked the edges with Distress Ink. I then mtt & layered with Mirror board. I trimmed the remaining strip from the stripey paper to fit across the floral panel then wrapped two lengths of Crochet Ribbon at the top and bottom of the strip. I fixed this panel to the card front using thin Foam Tape.

After colouring the Digi with Copic Markers I trimmed this topper to 8.5x16cm, inked the Edges with Distress Ink and mat & layered with Mirror Board. I fixed this to the card front with thick Foam Tape.

To make the rosette i cut a length of Crochet Lace ribbon and pulled one of the threads in the flat edge in on both edges to gather the lace the tied a knot to hold, I trimmed one thread off the used the other to stithc the two edges of crochet lace together then tied off an trimmed the thread. I fixed this to top corner of the card with Pinflair Glue Gel and Fixed  button in the centre with Glue Gel too.

The Sentiment I mat & layer first with Floral Paper then with Mirror Board and attached with Glue Gel. I finished the card with some flat backed pearls xx

I hope you like my card i really enjoyed making it the soft colours and the shabbiness is very different from tha cards i make often so i think i would like to make cards like this more often

Thank you for visiting me today and i do hope you visit again soon
