Good Morning all such a grey day out but that is good for me as means more time to Craft xx
Today i would like to share with you a project I made for my first Guest Designer Spot over at the
My Time To Craft CHALLENGE BLOG where my friend Shell invited me such a lovely Blog Challenge purely for fun and a great confidence boost if you are picked for the TOP3 xxx
The Challenge Theme this time is 'Shabby Chic' which i have had a lot of fun with
Here is my Project
Recipe
Digi from The Stamping Chef printed on Rymans bright white cardstock and coloured with Copics
A4 White Linen Cardstock - scroed and folded to make A5 cardbase
Papermania 'Rose Garden' 8x8 paper pad
Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Antique Linen'
Creata Mirror Board 'Dusky Pink'
Creata Crochet Lace Ribbon
Papermania 'Lucy Cromwell' Sentiments pack
Flat Back Pearls from 'Home Bargains'
Big Button from my stash x
I trimmed the Stripey Paper to a few mm smaller than the cardbase and distressed the edges using a small pair of scissors and fixed this to card front using Collal All purpose glue.
The floral paper I cut to 12.5x1.5cm and inked the edges with Distress Ink. I then mtt & layered with Mirror board. I trimmed the remaining strip from the stripey paper to fit across the floral panel then wrapped two lengths of Crochet Ribbon at the top and bottom of the strip. I fixed this panel to the card front using thin Foam Tape.
After colouring the Digi with Copic Markers I trimmed this topper to 8.5x16cm, inked the Edges with Distress Ink and mat & layered with Mirror Board. I fixed this to the card front with thick Foam Tape.
To make the rosette i cut a length of Crochet Lace ribbon and pulled one of the threads in the flat edge in on both edges to gather the lace the tied a knot to hold, I trimmed one thread off the used the other to stithc the two edges of crochet lace together then tied off an trimmed the thread. I fixed this to top corner of the card with Pinflair Glue Gel and Fixed button in the centre with Glue Gel too.
The Sentiment I mat & layer first with Floral Paper then with Mirror Board and attached with Glue Gel. I finished the card with some flat backed pearls xx
I hope you like my card i really enjoyed making it the soft colours and the shabbiness is very different from tha cards i make often so i think i would like to make cards like this more often
Thank you for visiting me today and i do hope you visit again soon
