My Bee Crafty Stamps Collection - New Storage Solution

Hiya and Welcome to my Blog

I have been busy the last few days giving my Kraft Korner and the rest of my Kraft/Bedroom as I felt I wasnt using the space to its best advantage and I wanted to make life easier when Krafting so i have more time to Kraft rather than half the time hunting for certain Items

Part of this massive job was I wanted to make some of my stamps more easily accessible of course My Bee Crafty Collection
(which is massive as I buy tons, I receive a few from a collection in my DT Pack and then on Payday I just have to order more)
had to be sorted so I came up with a new way to store them without spending a fortune on more storage.

I brought 3 A4 ring binders from my local 'Poundland' store shame they are purple and not Yellow lol (must buy some yellow binders asap), I also brought a pack of 50 laminator punches from Lidl a bargain at just £2.49 - so far my spending was only £5.49, I hunted through my massive cardstock stash for some plain white card - Yay I had loads to spare, I also dug out some of the Sticky Dots I got from C&C ages ago but never found a use for - Using up older stash like this has saved me a lot of money. I also found I had over 50 sheets of acetate (i now have none but found 100 sheets on eBay for £12.99 free postage - so added those to my basket to buy on payday) - the only other thing I needed was a hole punch (i broke my 2 hole punch this week oooops) I got out my trusty Crop-a-dile single hole punch and a permanent marker to mark the holes as needed.

I cut down all my Bee Crafty clear stamp backing sheets (the ones inside all the original packaging from Bee Crafty) so I just had a stack of the images from them, I did this one collection at a time so not to overwhelm myself. I then used the sticky dots to stick all the images onto A4 white cardstock spaced out nicely over 2 or more sheets of card if needed. I then laminated the A4 cardstock, once cool I stuck the corresponding stamps onto the back of each sheet. I lined up a clear acetate sheet over the stamps then marked and punched the holes to add to the binders. I did this for all the sets, some sets I havent completed yet so I mixed these smaller collections together onto sheets too.

This will make finding the right stamps for my projects a lot easier as im no longer going to be wasting time digging through the drawers I had my stamps in previously

This post is now going to be very pic heavy but I wanted to show you all the pages

File 1 - WORDage and BEAUtanicals

File 2 - BACKdrops, Borders & Frames, Flower & Butterfly sets, Wings & Feathers sets, Leonardo, The Village and Yuletide

File 3 - all my Character Sets from... FASHIONettes, Banksy, Wizard of Oz and Fleur & Freddie collections

I hope this has possible inspired you to make some stamp storage, it takes a while to set up but is so worth it not only does it make it easier to keep your stamps tidy but its also space saving too

Brusho's - Wordage - Tags - For Bee Crafty

Happy Monday to you all and welcome to my Post for Bee Crafty

What a Crazy Weekend with Father's Day I hope you all had a lovely time with your families. I did with my Wonderful Hubby and our Children and his Parents we all had a lovely roast dinner and a Movie Night

I had the first bit of spending money available for a while so I visited ordered some Brusho's from Bee Crafty I have never used these before and so I had to open them up and try them out, so I created some Tags with them

I used Watercolour Card cut into Tag Shapes, sprayed them with a water spritz spray bottle and then sprinkled over some of the Brusho's after making holes in the lids for ease of use - I teamed these with some Distress Inks

For the Blue/Green tag once dry I inked some leaves through the 'Leaves - Inkables Template' using Black Soot distress ink then inked the edges using the same ink. I stames the 'Life & Rain (large) - WORDage' stamp in the corner using Black Archival Ink. I trimmed a piece of linen cardstock a few mm larger than the tag to create a matt, I then inked the egdes using 'Peacock Feathers' and 'Black Soot' distress inks then glued the tag to it

For the Red/Brown tag once dried I stamped the 'Friendship (large) - WORDage' stamp into the corner of the tag using Brown Archival Ink. I inked the edges of the tag using 'Vintage Photo' distress ink. I then trimmed a piece of linen cardstock a few mm larger than the tag to create a matt, I then inked the egdes using 'Scattered Straw' and 'Vintage Photo' distress inks and then glued the tag to it

I had best leave this post here and get back to Sample Making for the upcoming Hochanda Shows at the Weekend where Bev will be showing off some New Stamps....eeeeks so exciting

Introducing 'MDF Portrait Media Blanks - Flick & Fringe' @ Paperbabe Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Blog Today

This Week the Design Team are showcasing the New MDF Portrait Media Blanks - Please visit the Paperbabe Stamps Blog to see Kim's gorgeous make and links to other Team Members Blog Posts - so much Yummy Inspiration

Today is my turn to Show my Make using the 'Flick & Fringe' variation

I had a lot of fun creating this and getting all painty. First I painted all the pieces using Clear Gesso, once dry I then painted 2 coats of White Chalky Paint

Next I painted the Face, Torso/Neck and a spacing disc using a basic flesh tone I mixed using Acryllic Paint

I then painted a base coat of a Lilac colour I mixed using acrylic paint

These base layers were a starting point for painting all the details onto the corect areas of the Portrait

I used Acryllic paints to paint the shading and details onto the hair pieces. I used the 'Mini Doll Face' stamp set to plot out her facial features which I then blended several flesh tones to add highlights a details to her face. Once dry I then painted in her Eyes, Eyebrows, Mouth

For her Blouse I stamped the 'Peony' stamp from the 'Oriental Zen' stamp set onto the prepared Blouse Pieces to create a Floral Pattern which I then painted using Acrylic Paints. Once all the pieces were fully dry I then used Tacky PVA Glue to fix them all together - I decided to mount her onto the Stand but is the option to hang on the wall instead using the hanging holes at the back

'Look Beyond the Imperfections' - Planner Dashboard - with Bee Crafty Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

I have been using my Planner a lot lately and decided to make a New Dashboard (Front focal laminated page) as my Design Team make this week

My Planner is Sea Green and most of my inserts and decorations are various pinks and greens so this gave me the colour scheme for my Dashboard

I chose a pretty rose coloured backing paper which already had some pretty details on which I then trimmed to the size of a Planner Insert. I then stamped some extra details using some Bee Crafty stamps and brown archival ink the stamps I chose were...

Backdrop Borders - Dandies
Backdrop Borders - Flower Distressed Border
Yuletide - Holly Swirl

I stamped 'Fashionette - Rosie' onto white smooth cardstock and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers - I then fussy cut her and attched her to the backing paper using strong glue

Next I Stamped my chosen Sentiment 'Wordage - Being Happy' onto the top corner of the backing paper. I love this Sentiment as it is very inspiring

I laminated the finished Dashboard, punched the planner holes using a personal size punch and rounded the corners to finish

Darker 'Mayleedee' - for Paperbabe Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Blog

Today is the start of a New Challenge over at Paperbabe Stamps and the Theme is a favourite 'Anything Goes' which means you can create anything you like to enter

Visit the Paperbabe Stamps Blog to see more Details about the Challenge and see the Fabulous Design Team's examples for the Challenge they are all stunning

The Challenge Prize is Amazing but even better if you use a Paperbabe Stamp on your project

For my make I stepped out of my usual Pretty & Feminine Style and created something a little Darker using the Gorgeous 'Mayleedee' red rubber stamp

First I stamped 'Mayleedee' red rubber stamp onto a piece of smooth cardstock and then onto masking paper and cut out to form a mask which I then stuck over 'Mayleedee' to keep her ink free for colouring later.

The background was created using distress inks and stencils. The edging was made using the Speckle stamp from the 'Spritz & Speckle' set plus the Flower Outline & Flower Solid stamps from the 'Oriental Zen' set. 'Seedless Preserves' Distress Ink was used through the 5mm Dot stencil from the 'Polka Dot' stencil set.

I chose the 'Light From Within' Art Quote red rubber stamp as the sentiment. Once pulling the mask off from 'Mayleedee' I coloured her using Copic Markers.

I took a 6x6 cardblank in linen cardstock which i inked over the edges using the same stamps and inks as the background of the project

To finish my make I backed my project onto black cardstock and then mounted it onto the 6x6 cardblank from before

The Challenge ends on June 24th 2016 so do get those entries in soon we would love to see them

Every Hour Is A Dream - 'BEAUtanicals' - Bee Crafty

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Wowser such a Busy Half Term that was with our 4 Buzzy Bee's - Hubby booked the week off so that he could spend time with us all but also to get the garden ready for Summer - he also managed to put a new ceiling up in the Bathroom. along with trips out with the Kiddies and Movie Nights he did so well to get it all done.

Why though after a Holiday do I find it so hard to get my Work Head back on?? I very nearly forgot to post this Make for you....Doh!

So this weeks make to share is a Quick and Simple card using up more of my Offcuts from my Crafty Stash (im such a hoarder)

I chose to use lots of Dotty-yumminess this time with my spotty papers and a Dotty template which I inked through using Distress Inks in nice brown tones to match the papers.

I even used a Dotty Lace punch on the Mirror Board I used as Matt & Layers.

I used the gorgeous 'Ground Elder' stamp from the 'Ground Elder - BEAUtanicals' stamp set. I stamped around the edges using the edge of  the 'Dandie's Border' stamp from the 'Backdrop Borders' collection for a bit of texture

The Sentiment 'Every Hour is a Dream' is from the 'Dandelion - BEATtanicals' stamp set
