Oh my Gosh! Has it really been 4 months since I last posted on my Blog? Wow! That was a serious break I had, but I do feel a lot better for having been away for a while. Sometimes we all need to take a complete break from everything to clear our heads and reflect. I had a rough few months with medication changes and accepting my new life as a single Mum again for the first time in 12 years. It has been difficult at times especially getting my head around my financial situation and having to be there for not only my children but adjusting to being the only adult in the house again, having to be both good cop & bad cop well I'm sure many of you understand how that goes. But here is to my fresh start, I have been making a few pretties over the last week and finally enjoying my Kraftroom again at last.
Today I would like to share with you an Art Journal Page I made for the Paperbabe Stamps Blog Challenge I was late getting my project made as I am a little rusty, so this is a Midway Reminder to get your creative hands busy and get making for a chance to win some amazing Paperbabe Goodies!!!

The Challenge for this Fornight is a Picture Challenge where you take inspiration from a photo, either the theme or the colours from within it - the Beautiful Picture chosen for this Challenge is below...
I love the shades of Teals and Oranges in this Picture so I chose to use those colours within my
Journal page
I especially loved the brighter Teal so i picked this out for the hair of the girl I created using the Gorgeous Mixed Media Portrait Stencils & the Female Face Stamp Set.
I drew her first using the template which I traced around lightly using pencil, I then watercoloured the background using colours similar to those in the Challenge Picture. I then stamped the details of her face using the Female Face Stamp Set and the Matching Eye Templates (except her eyelashes I stamped those once I had finished painting her), I used Tumbled Glass & Broken China distress inks to stamp the colours of her eyes. I painted her skin, hair and lips using acrylic paints.
I then picked out some Beautiful Art Quotes & Sentiment Stamps (Best Version of You, Your Sparkle, Dont be afraid to Sparkle, Nothing can Dim, Take Time), from the Paperbabe Stamp range for most of the Journaling around her, I also added a few by hand.
This is the first painting I have done for quite a while that hasnt ended up in the bin, I actually enjoyed spending the time to bring her to life
