I have been meaning to enter the challenge blog but keep missing out due to my absent mindedness lol
but today i made a card specifically for the Challenge 'Get Stamping'
i decided to get really inky with this card
for the main image i chose 'Isabella' from the Visible Image character range i love her and she was part of my very first purchase from them and ive been hooked ever since.
In keeping with my personal challenge i have only used offcuts for this card as i decided to try to use up some of these pieces i keep for just in case.
for the card blank ive used an off cut of centura pearl cardstock cut to just a few mm larger than the fancy egded piece of card (which is half of a fancy cardblank - i often cut these in half to make these special packs go further) - i inked this fancy piece all over with Antique Linen (Tim Holtz) I then stamped the Small Butterfly stamp from Visible Image twice on the blank covered with 2 masks i made from Eclipse Tape, then stamped over the whole background with the Bront Border stamp from Visible Image. I then took away the masks and traced over the butterflies with a Vesamark Pen poured over clear embossing powder and heated with a heat tool. I inked around the edges with Walnut Stain (Tim Holtz). ive matt&layered this pieces with a piece of dark gold mirror board (from Creata).
For the main topper I stamped Isabella using Rich Cocoa (Memento) and then coloured her with distress inks (tea dye, antique linen, walnut stain, tattered rose and victorian velvet) using a waterbrush pen. i then masked her with Eclipse Tape and inked over the topper with Antigue Linen. I removed mask and stamped the Grunge Flourish from Visible Image around the edges. I then inked the edges with Walnut stain matt&layered with brass mirror board (Creata) i attaached this with foam tape at a jaunty angle.
The Sentiment i stamped on another offcut of cardstock, inked over with Antique Linen ink and round edges with Tea Dye matt&layered with the brass morror board and attached with more foam tape. To finish i added a few gold gems from my stash.
I am entering this card into the challenge over at Visible Image Blog April Challenge Page
