Hunkdory Products - Projects & Review

Hiya and Welcome to My Blog

A few weeks ago I received an email from a lovely lady at Hunkydory asking if I would like to review my choice of products from the Hunkydory Website... how exciting and I jumped at the chance. Below is a photo of the lovely Hunkydory Products I chose and of course I had to pick Stamps... I am a bit of a Craft Stamp Addict so how could I not and plus they are Polymer eeeks my fave kind

For The Love of Stamps - Bee Happy

The first thing I did when I received this lovely parcel of goodies was a little happy dance because they are all so lush.

The Paper Pad is lovely with smooth papers of the same quality that we are so familiar of from Hunkydory Kits. I was a bit gutted that they are all double sided as I would love to be able to use every single design rather than one side being hidden on projects but they are colour co-ordinated which makes matching up a lot easier and would be great for projects where you can see both sides.

I then opened the stamps and got hit by the familiar polymer smell so sos lush and one of my fave smells in the world of craft. The quality of these stamps are really exceptional, easy to remove from the backing plastic and ready to get stamping straight away. The etching of the detail is perfect. I've experienced some bad polymer stamps in the past that have ripped as I've taken them off the backing to use which is quite disappointing when it happens, I have also had some where the details are lost or where the lines are not smooth and even... so I was personally very impressed by these from Hunkydory For The Love of Stamps. Each stamp impression was clear and crisp. I tried Memento Ink for using with my Copic Markers and Versafine for using with my watercolours and both of these inks worked very well with the stamps.

I could not wait to get stamping so I created a journal page using the 'There's No Place Like Home' set and a 7x7 card using the 'Bee Happy' set

I teamed the 'There's No Place Like Home' set with some other Wizard of Oz themed stamps from my own crafty stash to create this Art Journal Page. I love the little tree's so so cute. The sentiment 'There's No Place Like Home' is one of 3 sentiments in the set... you also get 'Congratulations' perfect for new home projects and 'From Our House To Yours' which is a lovely sentiment perfect for sending cards to loved ones or neighbours. I love the silhouette theme to this set which I thought was perfect for art journalling.

The Honeycomb stamp was very easy to line up so i stamped it muliple times to create corners, I love the little Bee's there are 3 sizes in the set. The sentiments are lovely, the little words match up with the larger 'Bee' so you can create a sentiment that suits your own card or project. I teamed the stamps up with a circle template and distress inks. The smudging you can see on my card is from my own mistake using dye ink on pearlescent cardstock... I should have used a permanent ink like Stazon... this was my own error and nothing to do with the stamp quality, I used a heatgun to dry the ink but the smudges were already there... note to self use stazon next time.

For my next projects I teamed the Christmas Themed Stamps with the Paper Pad, I got my Copic Markers out to colour the images to match the colours in the Papers

I stamped the Lantern onto smooth cardstock suited to my Copic Markers, I then stamped a border using the Christmas Rose and tiny Snowflake stamps. I loved colouring in these beautiful images, I picked out colour combinations that matched to the backing paper I chose from the pad. These stamps are going to be lovely to use for my Christmas Cards this year. I love how many stamps were in this set along with different size roses and sentiments.

The 'Carolling Cuties' are so lovely and because they are mostly individual you can create lovely groups of carollers, there are some cute dogs and a cat too which are so so cute... The sentiments are lovely and are musically themed to match. I adore the little street lamp too. I also love that you get little Musical Notes that you can stamp randomly.
I could not resist making added details with the Holly and the smaller Rose from the 'Christmas Rose Lantern' set... I fussy cut them, shaped the roses from the back using a ball tool and layering up in the corners.

As you can probably tell I had a lovely time creating with the lovely items from Hunkydory and I can not recomend them enough... I will definately be putting in an order soon for more stamps from the 'For The Love of Stamps' collection

Thank You so much for stopping by and checking out what I have been creating I cannot thank Hunkydory enough for giving me this oportunity
