'MayLeeDee' - Thank You - for Paperbabe

Hiya and Welcome to my Blog Post Today for Paperbabe Stamps

Wowser this year is flying by now and cannot believe we are so near the end of May already - My house has been crazy this week with packing my 14year old Ashleigh off to Ardeche in France and with my 15 3/4year old William sitting his final GCSE's he leaves school June 17th - its all getting a bit real here now

Now on to todays Project for the Paperbabe Stamps Challenge that starts today - The Theme this time is a Sketch! which is always a lot of fun as you have to create a card/project that follows the theme. You can flip the sketch, reverse it and use it anyway you like as long as we can see the basic sketch within your card/project - the Sketch we are using is below...

The Prize this time as always is a Fabby one so please do visit the Paperbabe Stamps Blog to check out all the details, to get inspiration from the Beautiful Design Team Projects and to enter your make - you have to be in it to win it as they say

Here is my Card for the Challenge...

I reversed the Sketch just for fun and chose circular dies to create a topper for the main focal point using the lovely 'MayLeeDee' clear stamp

I chose some pretty papers and cardstocks to create my card-front - the torn edge piece was originally the packaging from a stamp in my own stash but it was far too pretty to throw away. I'm a bit of a frugal crafter and will use anything that is pretty as i cannot bear to waste anything where possible

I coloured 'MayLeeDee' using my Copic Markers (they were feeling a bit neglected bless them as I havent coloured with them at all this year) - I coloured her using colours to match with my papers i had used

I stamped the 'Thank You' red rubber sentiment stamp using light grey ink directly onto the backing paper on the card-front

Here is a Closer look at 'MayLeeDee'...

I just love love love colouring Hair and had forgotten how much I love my Copics

Please do enter the Paperbabe Challenge - Kim & the Design Team all look forward to seeing your entries

Thank You so much for visiting my Blog today - please do visit again soon to see more makes from me

'Rose Garden Abi' - Happy Birthday/With Love - Bee Crafty

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty
Over the weekend I was busy reorganising some of my clear stamp collection into empty CD Cases, this has been very time consuming so I took a break and made my DT Project for this week, I chose to use a (new to my 'Bee Crafty Stash') stamp from the 'Abi Grace & Katie Mai' collection. They are so so Adorable and I'm sure you will love them just as much as I do.
I stamped 'Abi' using light grey ink and coloured her using Alcohol Markers
I have coloured to match the backing papers I chose to use - light pastels - I also coloured matched some distress inks to add stamped and inked edges surrounding her to form a frame as a topper for my project - the stamps are I used are 'Holly Swirl' & 'Cow Parsley' - I love to use the Holly Swirl's edge for crafting all year round as it looks so cute as a foliage detail around card edges etc.
I die cut some flowers and foliage using dies and the offcuts from the Papers I used - The Sentiment's are from th Wordage 'Happy Birthday/With Love' set - I layered these up in opposite corners of the topper which I had attached to the card front using foam tape after tucking a doily in behind it

For the matt's and layer's I have used silver mirror board, for the picture above I took the photo at an angel to show the mirror board without my reflection (which is in the other picture - ooops)

Thankyou so much for visiting today, do come back soon to see the Beautiful Makes by the Wonderful Design Team here at the Bee Crafty Blog - Have you joined the Bee Crafty Facebook Group yet??? head on over now and check it out

Hiya and welcome to my post for Bee Crafty
I was very excited to receive more Fashionette's this week so of course I had to break them open straight away and get making with one of them 'Tracy' she is so so gorgeous
The first thing I did was chose my papers, as a hoarder I always have a few boxes of off-cuts that I keep to use later, I make myself a challenge each week to make a few cards using mainly off-cuts to use them up. I chose this lovely mint coloured piece with bird cages & vines on and that became my theme - I colour matched with a light brown piece with dark brown vines on

I coloured 'Tracy' using Copic Markers

Chocolate Valentine - Bee Crafty - Fleur & Freddie

Hiya! Its Tuesday so its my turn again to share with you my Design Team creation using some of the lush Bee Crafty Stamps
This week I've been planning ahead for Valentine's Day Cards and I've had the cutest stamps to work with 'Tete a Tete' from the 'Fleur & Freddie' collection - I chose Chocolate Brown & Rich Reds for a chocolate box looking card
I couldnt resist getting my Distress Markers out for this one - I scribbled them on a plain white tile and picked up the ink using a waterbrush to use them like watercolours - I chose browns and warm reds to match the brown spotty paper and red silky cardstock i had chosen to use

I went for a layered up effect on the cardfront using pearlecent cardstocks and glittered spotty papers, a heart edged circular die (and the waste hearts from it too) and a lattice heart die. I chose a WORDage stamp to use 'Glad I Did It - Small' - I love this sentiment and would be perfect for my Hubby's Valentine Card this year
I'm off now to get inky with some more yummy stamps - see you next week

Co-ordinating Pencil Pot & Planner Page Marker

Hiya a New Challenge started today over at That Craft Place Blog and the theme this time is 'Anything Goes' what better chance to make a few co-ordinating items for my new Filofax Planning Addiction

Head on over to the Blog to see the amazing Samples by the Amazing Design Team

I have upcycled a Crisps Tin and made a Page Marker and decorated them using 'Portfolio' papers by 'Pink Paislee' I brought from That Craft Place Shop on Facebook

I love this paper pack and the lovely pages of mini journalling cards that I cut from sheets of the paper - the flowers on the page marker are cut using die's and punches.

I drew round the original filofax page marker onto 'Core'dinations' cardstock twice then glued them back to back to strengthen the marker - I marked the holes and punched using my 'Crop-o-Dile'

The Pen Pot started out as a 'Pringles' pot which I have washed out and covered using 'Core'dinations' cardstock in the same colour as the page marker. I wrapped washi tape around the top and the bottom to match the greys in the papers. The two journal cards I cut from the paper pads and rounded the edges using a corner rounder punch. I used some Paper flowers from my stash to finish the pot.

I hope you will enter the Challenge over on the Blog and I hope to see you again soon

Merry Christmas with Tonic & Bebunni

Hiya I have officially begun making my Christmas Cards - even though I've been making Christmas samples since June I've finally started making my own

This is one of the First makes for Christmas this year

I have teamed up on of my Bebunni Christmas stamps from Crafters Companion with some Dies from Tonic

I coloured Bebunni using my Copic Markers

Hat & Poinsettia: R29, R27, R24
Hat Trim & Bobble: C2, C0

I have used the Border from 'Verso Merry Christmas Sentiment Die Set' to create a topper to stamp onto. I created a Matt using the Outer Edge from the set too its a lovely wavy edge.

The Red backing paper I used is from a Studio Light pad from Creataonline.

For the Easel Card stopper I have used the 'Small Lacy Bows Die Set' I cut the Bow first from green mirror board from Joycrafts and then from White cardstock using the filagree insert dies from the set.

The Easel Card I made using two 6x6 Card Blanks.

I cut the sentiment stamp using a small circular die, I cut one matt from a slightly larger circular die and then the scallop matt using the outer edge die from the 'Tonic Gold Freebie Set'

I added some paper flowers layered up with 2 punched leaves to embellish.

Patchwork Pretties - Challenge entry for Creative Knockouts

Today Sassy Studio Designs are sponsoring a Challenge over at Creative Knockouts the challenge theme is 'Patchwork Pretties' so which Sassy Image did I chose? Sally Honey of course for her beautiful Patchwork Dress. I love her she is so spooky but in this card I have softened her with some pretty pastels to show that she isnt just for Halloween. I teamed he up with a lovely sentiment stamp from Visible Image about Friends being a Patchwork - such a lovely sentiment.

I coloured her to match my papers using Copic Markers

Hair: C8, C6, C4
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Eyes & Socks: B24, B21
Eyeshadow: YG63

Shoes: C6, C4
Dress: YR04, YR02, R22, R20, YR000, B24, B21, C1, YG63, YG61

The papers I used were offcuts from my stash which I pieced together to form a patchwork background. I used a Halloween foam stamp set for the webs and spider, I used a quilted embossing folder for the layer behind the topper and I have used some silver mirror board for the matting. I used a piece of ric-rac ribbon and a silver spider charm in the top corner of the card. I added some dimension and texture with 2 circular die-cuts cut from pearlescent cardstock. A few gems from my stash finished the card nicely.

I hope you like my card and will check out the Challenge over at Creative Knockouts.
