Today begins a New Challenge over at the Crafting Musketeer's Blog and our theme is 'Use A Christmas Ribbon' we are being sponsored this month by the Fabulous 'Crafty Ribbons' please visit by clicking the link below to see all the Gorgeous Ribbons

I had a lot of fun creating this card using lots of layers and some decoupage printed from a CDrom in my stash - I chose Aqua & Rose as my colour theme as those colours are in the decoupage so I matched to them - the Aqua layer is part of a Stamp Set Packaging was way too pretty to put in the bin and I love to be frugal

Card Recipe:
7x7 White Cardblank
Silver Mirror Board (punched down side)
Martha Stewart edge punch
White Pearlescent Cardstock
Aqua Patterned Card (was... stamp set packaging)
Creata White Textured Metallic Card
Core'dinations Rose Cardstock (embossed)
Cuttlebug dots Embossing Folder
Offcut of Silver Mirror Board
Decoupage - Docrafts 'Me to You' CDrom
Silver Snowflake Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons

I really enjoyed making this card, I've been making Christmas Cards off and on over the last few months and I fancied a change from the Traditional Colours

I am also entering this card into the following Challenges...

Creata with Carley - 'Facebook Group' Challenge - Funky Christmas

Gorjuss Girl 'Pretty in Pink' - for Crafting Musketeer's

Hiya and welcome to my Blog. Today I am sharing with you my make for Crafting Musketeer's Challenge 'Midway Inspiration Post

This month we have been celebrating 'Crafting Musketeer's 2nd Birthday' such a lovely team to be a part of

The Challenge this month is 'Use a Die-Cut' and we are sponsored by 'The Hobby House' and  JGD Crafts two really lovely companies

Here is the card I made for the challenge...

I chose a delicate floral paper and coloured a Gorjuss stamp to colour match using my Copic Markers

I then chose some Kraft Card, Pearlescent Cardstock's and Crochet Lace to tie in all the colours, I love to use lots of layers and pretty flowers so I really loved putting this one together

The die's I have used are 'Xcut - Doily' and a 'Spellbinders -Foliage', I also found a diecut Pink flower in my stash box so I curled the petals and pinched the ends and added this to the floral spray on the card

It's A Man's World - Crafting Musketeer's

Hiya and welcome to my blog - today I am sharing with you my Design Team make for the Midway Post for Crafting Musketeer's 'Man's World' Challenge over on the BLOG xx

This week's challenge is sponsered by www.jgdcrafts.com the prize for the challenge will be something of the Sponsor's Choice oooh I love a surprise

So for this Challenge we had to create a card/project suitable for a Man in our lives I decided it was a good opportunity to get a jump start on Father's Day cards so this one will be for my Dad-in-Law who we fondly call 'Puppa-Bear'

I chose a Papercraft Kit from Docrafts - 'Wellington Bear' its an older collection but I just love the soft watercoloured look and the toppers etc are perfect for all the Men in your family

I kept the background fairly simple with layers of backing papers from the kit and matting with Golden Brown Mirror Board. I even matted on of the border strips for accross the bottom. The sentiment is also from the kit, the corners were already rounded so I used my small rounding punch to round off the matt for it. I also rounded the corners of the Topper and its matt. Ive offset the layers to create a bit of interest - Im not a big fan of centering on cards myself. Lastly I added a metal charm under the sentiment using wire and attached it using foam tape that I fixed the sentiment to the card with, also a couple of little wooden buttons and a wooden banner embellishment.

I hope you like my card and it might inspire you to create a Manly Card to enter into the Challenge - we would all love to see them
