'My Bestie's DT' - Blog Hop - 'Miss Flopsie'

Hello and welcome to the very first BESTIES DT blog hop – we are all excited for this being our  first hop and the projects we have to show you are fantastic.

Sherri has been creating her new Besties range for some time now and its amazing how popular they are and everyone wants to get their hands on them.
There are very talented ladies in the line up for this hop,  all are loving the digis and so looking forward to showcasing just a few of them for you today.

I made this card as part of my DT work for the Creata show on Create&Craft with Carley Duff - but as the Blog Hog is so close to Easter i thought this a very fitting Card for the Hop xx

I have used a 6x6inch card blank which is from Centura Cardstock. I Trimmed a piece of Green mirro card to a few mm smaller than the card blank and attached this to card with double sided tape. I choose a backing paper with pink roses and green back ground as it matches the colours in my precoloured Digi from Sherri Baldi's Digi shop on Etsy, i trimmed this piece a few mm shorter than the mirror layer and again attached with double sided tape.
The next part is a smaller piece of the backing paper 2.5x5inch ive inked the edges with Tattered Rose Distress Ink by Tim Holtz matted with green mirror and attached to the card base. I trimmed the Digi to 3x5inch inked the edges with the Tattered Rose Ink again this time matting with pale pink mirror card.
Ive then embossed and cut out a parchment flower and coloured with a pale pink alcohol marker. I also die cut a leaf swirl die with green mirror card and stuck this near the corner with Glossy Accents and stuck the parchment flower to the bottom of the die cut. ive used a part of the watse of the die cut for the tiny swirl on corner of the topper. To finish i stamped a 'Happy Easter' sentiment matted with green mirroe card and stuck this just under the edge of the topper. to embellis ive added 2 dressmaker pins, a yellow gem and a few dew drops.

You can find this gorgeous digi at the link below

We are offering some amazing blog candy for some lucky commenters who take part in the hop too.

'Max' by Visible Image

I have made a lot of cards this week some for DT work for Carley Duff from Creata, Some for DT work for Sherri Baldi Stamps and a few for family and friends but one of my faves is the one i am sharing with you tonight xx its a simple card but very different from my normal cards as i fancied a change and i love my new stamps from 'Visible Image' xx

I folded an A6 card blank using pearlescent cardstock. i then cut a piece of navy classic line paper (from creata) a few mm smaller than the cardblank attached this to the cardfront with double sided tape. i then cut a piece of black mirror board a few mm smaller again, then embossed with a checkerboard embossing folder . I stamped the 'Max' stamp onto neenah card and coloured with promarkers in shades of grey, blue and brown. i then matted with navy metallic textured cardstock (from creata) and attached to card front with foam tape. The Greeting is a rub on (from creata) with i matted again onto the navy mettalic textured card and attached with two layers of foam tape.

i was very chuffed to see this card on display on the 'Creata with Carley' on Create&Craft this Thursday xx

I hope you like my card as much as i liked making it

Angelica & Friends (first make) x

My lovely new set of stamps and the cdrom arrived yesterday and i could not resist making something with them straight away ...

First i printed out one of the card companions from the disc and a matching backing paper - i made my own 15cm square card blank from a sheet of A4 centura pearl in ivory, and used my ultimate pro for scoring and measuring.

I matt & layered the backing paper with gold mirror board and attached to front of card with strong double sided tape and then repeated this with the main topper part of the cad companion sheet.

the Stamped image was stamped using Memento ink onto Neenah cardstock, coloured with a mix of Spectrum noirs and promarkers. i then trimmed the image down to make a topper and matt and layered with matchng backing paper and more mirror board.

I chose 2 sheets of coredinations cardstock to match the colours in the stamped image and used my crafterscompanion quilling dies and leaves to create the flower embellishment which i attached to front of card using glossy accents.

Added some gems to flower centere and corner of the topper.

I am entering this card into Sheila Ruxburgh's Challenge on her blog

Bestie Challenge #3 Entry

I am entering this card in the Bestie's Challenge Blog! xx

I made this card by scoring an A4 piece of Centura Pearl cardstock in half to make an A5, ive used light blue pearlescent card as a matt background. The floral paper is from Creata glittered pads ive matt&layered this with silver mirror board- i picked a light brown ribbon which colour matches with the floral and tided this around the card front. the topper is made with a creata large oval die which i ran through my joy machine twice once with darkl brown mirror board and once with silver mirror board - i used the inner die cut silver mirror and attached my chosen digi 'dorothy' (coloured with spectrum noirs and cut outso fits onto the mirror) covered over this image with brown organza. i attached both ovals to front of card using glue gel. ive then cut out several flower and swirl die cuts using more creata dies (using scraps from the same cardstocks and papers). I typed and printed my own sentiment and matt and layered this again with matchig papers.

i am very chuffed to have been picked to work with 'My Besties' DT xxx

My New Addiction!!! xxx Visible Image Stamps

I've been making CREATA samples again the last few days and this one is my Fave of  this weeks set

for this image i took two of my new 'Visible Image' stamps 'Isabella' and 'Edward' and decided i want to make a wedding card with them. (http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/default.htm     webpage)

so first i stamped 'Isobella' with memento ink on neenah cardstock, i then stamped her again onto Eclipse masking tape and cut her out to use as a mask, then i stamped 'Edward' over lapping, removed the masking tape to reveal an image of edward behind isabella.

i choose these papers from an older set of wedding theme papers by CREATA, the pale pink, greys and blacks worked well with the wedding theme domed stickers from the wedding set which is on the Creata show 1pm tomorrow (17th Jan 2013)

i cut and layered several different sized pieces of the papers from the pack and then die-cut flowers and swirls, and leaves using floral flourish dies and vintage flourish  dies all available from http://www.creataonline.com/

I am also very very excited about this card being featured in the galleries on the Visible Image website such a wonderful feeling to know other people like my work but also that the people who made the stamps i love also love my work xxxxx
